You’ve come up with an awesome idea for a food truck. It’s going to be fusion Ukrainian-Korean, you’ll call the truck Boris, and you’ll serve kimchi-stuffed pierogi. With sriracha-laced sour cream! It’s going to be a huge success!
But hold on, what about the permits, and the parking, and the police? Sounds like you need a food truck 101 class, and luckily we’ve set one up exclusively for Underground Eats members, hosted by Michael Jacober, ex-Per Se, now owner of one of our favorite food haunts, the Morris Grilled Cheese truck. Join us on Sunday, July 15th at 10.30am-12.30pm on the forecourt of Brooklyn Public Library at Grand Army Plaza for an unmissable class on starting your own food truck, followed by one of their signature grilled cheese. Get your tickets here. Prospect Park’s monthly Food Truck Rally will also be on so you can sample other delicious bites (all in the name of research, of course).
In the meantime, here’s another brilliant infographic from Mashable on the rise, and rise, of food trucks across the country.
