A lesson in master butchery, with Pat LaFrieda himself. Watch the Meat Man break down 250 pounds of beef to get two, 10-ounce portions of Flat Iron steak, an ideal and affordable cut for summer grilling. It may be Josh Ozersky‘s hardest day of work yet (as yes, he gets to take the steaks home).

Pork Chops with a “Fruity Dyno-Bites” Batter, Only Ozersky
There’s nothing wrong with a little sweet to compliment the savory, and most would agree texture is always an important food element. So when Josh Ozersky offers you a taste of his grilled pork-chop battered in evaporated milk and crushed Fruity Dyno-Bite cereal, why shouldn’t it be delicious? Well, that’s his argument anyway. Taking the C-Town Fruity Pebbles knock off cereal brand and crushing them barehanded to offer a panko-like crust, Ozersky does it again and amazes us with his, shall we call it, “unique, culinary creativity.” Watch him at it again on today’s OzerskyTV.
Cookin’ Like Flynn: A Child Prodigy Pops Up
For some moms, breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day is the only time they will enjoy a meal made by their kids. For Meg McGarry, the mother of Flynn McGarry, its a little different story.
Flynn, the 13-year-old culinary prodigy of San Fernando, California, offers more than a once-a-year breakfast. Every month, Flynn will prepare a decadent 10-17 course tasting menu for friends, family, and foodies to be served right out of his home kitchen. This monthly event, known as at the pop-up dinner, Eureka, provides Flynn, a young, artistic genius, the perfect opportunity to play with culinary creativity and practice his (incredible) skills. Hesitant to take such a young chef’s food seriously? Well, perhaps after you try his “sous vide salmon with pink Cara Cara orange” or devour his “short ribs with coffee-celeriac purée and wild mushrooms” you may feel differently.
In addition to his doing his supper club, Eureka, Flynn also apprentices at two restaurants, Ray’s and Stark Bar and Sweet Butter. And as if that wasn’t enough, he also has plans to start offering more catering services.
Interested in seeing more of young McGarry in action? With a little help from his sous-chef/videographer mom, Flynn has a youtube channel called “Dining with Flynn.”
Michael Psilakis Explains the Meaning of Life and Food: KEFI
Chef Michael Psilakis (Kefi, FISHTAG, MP Taverna), in a class at the 4th Annual New York Culinary Experience at the International Culinary Center, wastes no time getting deep sharing his inspiration for cooking and passion for why food is so important. Apologies for the video quality, but the content was so moving, we felt we needed to share it. We swear there were some tears flowing….maybe it was just us?
